On of my hopes for this blog is that it will encourage me to finish works in progress.
With the cooler nights and lower humidity, I've been "rambling" again on the "Rambling Rows Afghan" by Cottage Creations. Before I know it, winter winds will be blowing and this will be so cozy!!
The mitered squares and rectangles are so much fun to knit...all in garter stitch and no seams to sew! I am doing size "medium" and out of 55 units total, I have 32 completed. So needless to say...Take heed! I'll be rambling awhile. Haha.
The yarn is Noro Kureyon color 178. I originally purchased it for a jacket but the yarn "told me" it wanted to be an afghan instead. I was in the middle of planning a move to another state and I thought an afghan for my new home would be a great idea. See, don't argue with yarn; it knows what it's talking about! Anyway, the colors reminded me of woods and water. Since I love nature, I was wishing for this at my new home. In case you are wondering if it turned out that way...thankfully, yes it did. I love my new home and I really am loving this afghan.

Hi, Nice job on the blog. I too want to try the blogging thing sometime. I started one a couple of years ago-free through earthlink - but never did anything with it. I also thought it sounded boring compared to other peoples that I have been reading. I love the colors of your rambling rows afghan - it's awesome. The kids like the tigger picture.
Anyway, now is a good time for us to blog so we can keep in touch with our projects. I'll try to start one when the monkeys are back in school and out of my hair -even if it is boring as hell to everyone else- we can keep in touch. See ya!
