Just Rambling On and On

On of my hopes for this blog is that it will encourage me to finish works in progress.

With the cooler nights and lower humidity, I've been "rambling" again on the "Rambling Rows Afghan" by Cottage Creations. Before I know it, winter winds will be blowing and this will be so cozy!!

The mitered squares and rectangles are so much fun to knit...all in garter stitch and no seams to sew! I am doing size "medium" and out of 55 units total, I have 32 completed. So needless to say...Take heed! I'll be rambling awhile. Haha.

The yarn is Noro Kureyon color 178. I originally purchased it for a jacket but the yarn "told me" it wanted to be an afghan instead. I was in the middle of planning a move to another state and I thought an afghan for my new home would be a great idea. See, don't argue with yarn; it knows what it's talking about! Anyway, the colors reminded me of woods and water. Since I love nature, I was wishing for this at my new home. In case you are wondering if it turned out that way...thankfully, yes it did. I love my new home and I really am loving this afghan.

HELLO!

Hello and Welcome,

I've enjoyed reading knitting/spinning blogs for a few years. There are so many talented and creative people out there! Thank you for your inspiration and please be patient as I learn about blogging. I will try to challenge the adage that "You can't teach an old dog new tricks". However, I have a new saying, "You can't keep an old cat out of handspun merino!"
Mmmm....who can blame him?
